Where are the good florida tracks? We had our Orange county track closed by the authorities. The track owner lied about the track being a buisness. It cost $200 for an annual membership with a key to the facilities. Anytime you wanted to run, between 9am and 11pm, you could go and burn some nitro. The track was incredible. I'm so bummed he had to lie to the county just to save a buck. Now look at him, had to sell the property and move. It was zoned agriculture. As far as I'm concerned, Orange county Florida is a bunch of jerks that can shove it where the sun doesn't shine. They took our track away and did nothing about giving us an alternative or making a space for us. They own SO MUCH land here is it disgusting, and they still will not build us a track. Gave the grommets a skate park, but not us nitro burners.
Any suggestion on how to petition the county to give us some land for a track?

It is hard to get land for a track in the Orlando area. They closed down the track in Altamonte "GOAR" a few years back because of Safty issues from 911. Said we were a safty issue to the water plant. Didn't make sense to me. I use Daytonarc.com track or the Bartow track now. Getting a group togeather and having persons to work on the track is just as hard as finding the land. No one wishes to take on the liability. Espicialy for the 1/8 scales.

Didn't realize the lawyers had ruined this sport too! Well this sucks. I do not want to have to drive 2 hours just to play with my toys. GRRRR! They took it away, they better build another. If I have a petition printed up would you all be willing to have some people sign it? My mother in law works for zoning, I have a foot in the door.

Im over in brevard and cant find a track within 2 hours driving time.. Guy at my LHS says that they closed a paintball place in titusville and opened a rc track but i cant find any information on it..
