looking for a project

Im looking for a project for the winter months ahead. I fancy building an aircraft from scratch. I have built and flown helis boats and rc cars, but never had a go at an aircraft

Can anyone point me in the direction for free online plans which are comprehensive?

Any tips, pointers etc very much welcome
