i just bought a cmb .45 for my 42 inch deep vee. the engine and boat are set up for a 3/16 flex shaft. is this shaft going to be strong enough?

Yes, no problem. The props that you'll need aren't available with 1/4" bores in the hubs anyway.

Very true. In the 1/8th hydros, a 3/16th flex shaft is used WITH A .67 spinning around 23K. You won't have near the power of a .67, so I wouldn't worry:)

Usually most people start with an X-450 then go from there as the CMB ought to be able to spin it with no sweat. Others would be the X-447, 448 and 646/3 if the X-450 feels like too much but usally isn't. It's also available in both 2 and 3-blades.

ron would this be a LH or RH prop
