RC shop in Chicago?

Hello!

I'm from Italy and I'll be in Chicago for the IMTS in early September. While there, I'd like to grab a chance to shop a little.

I race Xray touring class, so I'd like to have some shop direction where I can buy batteries and cars.

It is very sad but the city of Chicago does not have a decent RC hobby shop. However, there are several very good shops just outside of Chicago: (one in the far northwest side of the city, Chicagoland Hobby www.chicagoland-hobby.com on Northwest Highway)

There's a damn hobbytown in every corner. Go to theyr website www.hobbytownusa.com and look there. Good luck. Not for Italia on the FIFA world cup, though. I'm brazillian and Italia allways scares me.

I stand corrected, the Hobby Town that USED to be in Oak Park is not listed any longer on the Hobby Town main site. The closest one to Chicago is Orland Park which is further out than Al's. The next closest is in Crystal Lake which is further than Joliet. Another is in St. Charles.

Be warned though that their selection isn't as good as the three I've mentioned and I'm not sure if they carry any XRay products at all.

There are no Hobby Town shops IN Chicago.

Ok lemme ask this. Is this the race that will be in Rockford IL????? If so that's a cruise from chicago. There are a few in Rockford and the surrounding suburbs. Just google hobby shops in Il and you should get a good list.

Hey Giorgio, I'll be in Chicago for the IMTS too, I 'm thinking to take my micros with me, I saw that Leisurehours has pictures of a carpet 1/18th track, if I can't go there I'll race it in the Show carpet those hours that there is just a few people.
