I want to share my tow plane with glider fans. This is the second edition, as the first one crashed. The redesign of this parasol now sports flaps and a bigger wing. Hope you guys like it. I'd like to see what other people are using as glider tugs. Regards to all.

Good looking tug!
How is it powered and what size planes do you tow with it?
I have a 3.6M Ventus 2C. Weighs about 2.7 Kilos. Think you could tow me up?

Glad you like it:
The airplane has a 112" wing span and a bit over 1800 sq. in. of wing area. Itīs powered by a Mac Minarrelli 70cc. twin cilinder gas engine. I'm currently towing a 3.8 meter ASK-8 (kit by FLAIR) and will soon be towing a 3.4 m. MINIMOA (kit by Krick). The Ventus should be no problem.

Javier

I don't think I will be coming by Mexico City any time soon, but if I do, I will bring the Ventus and give you a call. My Spanish is really bad, so it is good to know your English is good.
We aerotow using an 1/4 scale electric Piper Cub. Our field does not allow gas or glow power. We are using an open field in a nature preserve. Everything needs to be quiet and non-toxic.
The plane can pull up, perhaps, 4 kilo 4 meter plane but not much more. But that does not stop us from enjoying aerotowing.
Clear skies and safe flying!

It's good to know that this fabulous hobby gets you friends all over the world!! What are the specs for the cub, and what's the power system? (Motor, ESC, Batteries etc?) I make it to New York city occasionaly for proffesional reasons. Are you far from the big apple?
Regards,
Javier

The cub is not mine, so I can not say. He was flying it on 32 Sub C cells, but has moved to Lipos lately. I think they are 10S packs.
When you are in NY, contact me. I often work in the city. I have an office at 2 Penn Plaza, but I am often at client offices. I am in computer sales.
If you can get to the Long Island Rail Road Penn Station, you would just take the train to Syosset and I would pick you up. We will be 1 mile from the field.
We can visit my field on a Friday PM, or Sat or Sunday and have some fou soaring for the day. Or we can pull out the Parkflyers.
I look forward to your visit!

Nice work Jamarca ! I actually use something very similar, but I'm new to the hobby and got my friends old glider (it is not so old as he is a freak (http://www.soaringspace.com/) and changes all the time) still I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Maybe in a year I'll go to such a meeting
