Hey I live in Peoria, AZ 85383 and the closest track that I know of for me is but indian school. I will get the link to the track in a bit. But anyways I want to race out there as it seems very nice with a dirt oval dirt road course. carpet oval, carpet road, dragstrip, and asphault oval. Anyways my parrents say it's the part of town where a white boy like me will look like a square around a bunch of circles (if that makes any sense.) So I want to race there but my parrents say I will be like really not fitting in and look like I'm the minoroty. Should I go there should I not. Is there a track closer. Does anyone around Sunrise Mountain Highschool in Peoria, AZ race. If so do you have a track to race in or a few hills you know of to bash some trucks with. Thanks for the info in advance.

Usually rc racers come from all walks of life. You shouldn't have any problems. I am probably just as white as you and I had no problems going to Crystal Park Raceway in downtown Compton. When I went to the store for lunch, it was a little bit scary though.

need for speed, think about how blacks dealt with this in the 60's. Same thing. There is your answer.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. There is only one type of person at a race track (oval, dragstrip, road course, etc.) and that is a racer.

If the neighbourhood is mexican then I would not worry at all. I am hispanic and I can tell you that typically Mexicans are very friendly people.
But like others said here, go check it out, if its ok then come back.

You and you parents seem to have the misconseption that because an area's racial majority is "X", "Y" and "Z" is not welcome. Please have an open mind, check it out before coming to a narrow minded conclusion.

I don't remember the cost, its mostly offroad for 1/10 and 1/18. They do have a oval track. Its been a while since Ive been there, they could have new tracks. I don't race much cuz its too hot:(
