Well I could use some help with buying a new RC car. First off I know that I want electric for my first. I also know I don't want a monster truck unless 1/18 scale. I also know I don't want to spen over $200 for the car unless it is a great deal. Now what I need is some links to desent cars. I was thinking on road and 1/10 but a mini 1/18 scale off road car, truck, or buggy is ok. They would be good starters. I was also wondering if there is a desent drift car under $200 and if drift cars are fun and worth it.

IMO, an onroad car is gonna really limit your fun if its your only RC.

Do you plan on racing, or mostly bashin' around?

Whats wrong with 1/10th monster trucks? Like a Stampede?

I can tell you that MY first was an off-road 1:10 scale Tamiya Blackfoot. Not the most rugged chassis, but for you, I would definitely go with Tamiya. Try the Lunchbox, King Blackfoot, or even one of their stadium truck designs. You can probably get one used in th Buy/Sell/Trade forums here, leaving you $$$ for a controller, charger, and an extra battery or two

My first was a Traxxas Rustler Kit. How long has it been since Traxxas has made kits...

Rustler/Stampede (almost the same thing) is an antiquated but solid platform. Mini-T's cheap but can be fun. Mini LST sounds promising.

Biggest tip to any noob: Go to your LHS and talk to them about it. Make sure they carry parts for whatever you buy, but they should be friendly enought to answer your questions in real time. It won't do you any good if you can't fix it. You will break it.

if u get a mini lst wait for the new diffs that are coming out in august and a rc18t would be better than a mini t but a rustler would be good for u to
