Stupid receiver question

If I have a JR Racing transmitter, can I use a Futaba or Novak Rec?

Way I understand it, if you're running AM or 27Mhz FM, it doesn't make any diff whose rxs you use - only need a matching pr of crystals. If you're running 75Mhz FM, JR is a positive shift radio and Futaba and Novak rxs are both negative shift and will not work. JR will work with Airtronics (Sanwa) and KO rxs.

You'll need a matching pr of crystals again, but this time they need to match the TX. I tried running my Futaba tx/Hitec rx using Hitec crystals and it did not work. It worked when I switched to a pr of Futaba crystals.

I run 75 Mhz FM with a Futaba radio and I run a mix of Novak, Futaba and Hitec rxs.

And btw, I don't consider it a stupid question at all. Unless you've bumped into it a time or two, not likely to know. I had to ask too, lol!!
