New to LRP Sphere Compition.. need some help, plz!

I just got the Sphere Compition in the mail. i was wondering what the blue antenna looking wire was for? also how does it power the reciver/servo without a battery connection to the reciver? do i have to add a seperate power supply the the reciver to run the car?

I also wondered about what the blue wire was but you only need to worry about it if you are using a Ko Pro servo. I'm not sure what to do if you are but I know other ppl on here do. The battery runs the reciever servo and motor. Just connect the black plug to the reciever and it will work fine. No need to for a power supply for the reciever and servo.
