Okay city folk, sound off proudly about your tracks and lets see some URLs...

My wife and I will be moving in 2008 as she finishes medical school and begins residency. We'll be moving someplace in the U.S. with a major medial center, most likely a large city, so I'm curious as to who out there feels their city has the best R/C scene and why? After all, this'll be a 5+ year stay and I'd love to be near some great tracks with enthusiastic folks.

FIRE AWAY! Oh and come on you NYC folks, be nice. I was born in Brooklyn, but not everyone else "knows" it's the center of the universe. ;)

Just do searches on this forum for cities. On this New Post page one, there are threads for Altoona, PA, Ohio, and two for North Carolina.

I live 45 miles north of Boston myself. Not much to speak of for tracks in my area, but there's many great people in the area to bash with. Just stay connected on the Forum. :)

Ooooh, post 99!

Your wife can't miss in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan Hospital or in Detroit at the Henry Ford Medical Center...
and you can't miss having great racing fun in southeast Michigan.
There are two large outdoor summer Off Road racing series.
MARS and FTMS They both race at different venues each month.
HUGE Indoor Dirt Facility in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw RC Raceway. Electric only November thru March. Average attendance-160 + entries.
Dedicated Asphalt track for 1/10th scale in Adrian Michigan, LAZER Speedway. Awesome track and facility.
Dedicated asphalt in Toledo OH for 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale On Road. One of the best in the country.
Carpet Racing in Westland Michigan at CEFX Raceway. Owned by world champion Josh Cyrul.
Other great tracks in Indiana and Ohio are just a couple of hours away.
Come and join the fun.

Okay, normally I just read these and click the back button...but, I think you should seriously consider CT...there's Yale and UConn, both with excellent medical programs...

On top of that, two of the major RC mags are hq'ed here, and there are many tracks, including Wolcott Hobby, RCMadness and a couple others, which not only host races, sometimes big/major races, but are also home to some of the magazine testing sessions.

So, there ya go..my $0.02 :)

Wow, thanks, you know I always just sort of assumed Air Age and such were all in California someplace. Very interesting...
