old rooster problems

recently i bought my gf a rtr rc10 t4 rs, since she kept running my xxxt into trees and stuff. its def a decent truck, especially for being rtr. i wanted to throw my old novak rooster esc on there but its not working correctly. im pretty sure the esc is fine, it worked in my old car, and when i plug it into her receiver the wheels start spinning, but thats when the plug is like halfway in. when its in there all the way i get no response. it worked the first time but hasnt worked since. i even put a new plug and wires on it and it did the same thing. do you guys have any suggestions? should i send it to novak to get checked out, or is that esc just not compatible with the receiver that comes with that car?

id send it in.may i ask why you throwing it in your gf car if it cam with a AI esc anyway?trying to sabatoage hers eh?or is it not just a dencent rtr that you have been fonded now of hehe

the lrp esc thats in there is pretty good, ive just always been a fan of novak and wanted to see if it would make any difference. she doesnt like driving it if its not as fast as mine, of course the faster it goes the harder its gonna hit those trees and curbs that shes so good at nailing. thats the main reason i want to use stuff i already have laying around rather than buying new stuff for her car. she is getting better tho.
