took my boat down the pond today(after doing some work on it(to 'loosen' it up-was running 'wet'))...it would get about 75-100' out of the corner(back straight) when it started drifting right(left rudder had little effect). wasn't till it got to the front straight when I realized; I was seeing daylight under the entire hull...(guess I got it loosend up), running nice and level about a 1/4-1/2" out of the water. with the hull dry its no wonder it had probs steering :). question how do I fix the tracking problem? I mean fast is nice, but staying on the course fast is better :). TIA

have a look and see how far your servo is moving the rudder. you may have to play with the trims and the adjustable end points on the steering. if this is the "bouy flavored" boat you don't want any handling problems, cuz my el lobo is hungry and her favorite food is wood!!! one bite mark, is one too many :D what other props do you have? i might be at the site next week and we can see what's going on.

yes it is. considering that was looking like doug's boat(attitude&altitude, if not speed), I believe the response is: bring it on, your gonna have to work for it, and lets see oh right, Eat Roost! but seriously, the boat was literally flying(tried an x431 & a y534 neither of them lowered the alt tho the w/431 it did try to blow over). think I'm gonna try trim fins and see if that will keep the boat straight.

If the boat is running just on the prop its no wonder its going to the right. The rotating force of the prop will force it that way.

found (after I got home of course) the prop angle was off(was neg, now corrected) might have found it at the pond cept there were folks setting up a b-day party for a young child...thought that maybe it was time to leave before injuries occured. otoh got to test my rts system :) (worked nicely, I stayed on shore...this time) the 'kids' enjoyed watching me tow the boat back to shore. they also enjoyed watching me flip the boat too.
