Hey lol,

I have 12 rechargable batteries. 8 nimh and 4 nicad. I do have 4 more nimh but there damaged lol. I use the 4 nicad in my buggy and the 8 nimh in the controller.

Can i switch it around and put 4 NIMH in the buggy and 8 (4 nimh 4 nicad) in the controller? I dont think its good to put that combo in the remote.

Or, how long with alkaline batts run in the controller?

I wouldn't mix and match between NiCd and NiMH in the transmitter. They probably don't have the same capacity, and they have different performance properties anyways.

It's hard to know how long alkaline batteries will last. Could last a few weeks or a month or more if you don't drive too much. Or could be less, hard to say. Rechargeables will be more economical in the long run.

Nicads are only rated between 750-800MA, NiMH between 1100-2300. While you probably won't run into problems of the Nicads discharging before the NiMH. I'm not sure of the differences in discharge rate/capacity would be that much of a difference for radio/receiver use as long as both types wee in good condition.
