ok...we im planning on running tomarow with a bunch of freinds. and ive been running a regular AA pack in my savage. but the hitec high speed servo sucks the juice out of them pretty quick(after a few tanks i would say.) sp i bought a reciever pack..but now i go to hook it in and DANG! it has a diiferent hook up to the switch.. but it has the same hook up as the reciever...would it just be safe to run the reciever box off the truck and plug the batterie straight in and out for when i shut off??its just for tomarow...

That would be a fine alternative. Some racers like Steve Slayden do not trust switches at all, and plug their reciever batteries directly into the reciever just to be safe. Just remember to pull on the connection's plastic housing and not on the wires, or you might pull the wires out of the plastic  . Have fun!

I always run my batteries straight to the reciever, had too many switches malfunction..
