Hi Guys,

I have built a twin engine Savage out of the LE with the three speed trans. It is going through spur gear pads (slipper pads) like crazy!! I need some help!! the truck is slower than my other LE Savage and it should be much stronger and faster. What am I doing wrong? I dont think I am putting it on to tight because no matter how loose it is it will drive around for a bit and the rev high but not move and then if I tighten the nut on the spur it will move again until the same thing happens. OH forgot to mention I am using the stock plastic spur gears first the 49 tooth now the 47 both burned up in less than 20 minutes.

I think you're going to need to order a strengthened metal spur and CB and lock tight the nut for your twin engines.

it might not necesarily go that much faster, you dont gain very much rpm's off a dual engine truck. you just gain alot more torque. you think right away twice as fast, but your still turning the spur gear the same speed. you just get more torque out of it. Also its alot heavier. I still love twin engine trucks though
