What batteries do you plan on running? I'd imagine they'd get a little toasty with 4.5's and a heavy truck. Keep us updated!

any batterie to be honest im just a basher not a racer....I got two packs of maxamps 8000mah on the way with two low voltage detecotrs from them...also got 2 packs of the a123racing.com packs 4600mah with magic box and charger and on the side two cheap venom 1800nicad packs for back up LOL...

Awesome. Like you said, emaxx has been done to death. I'm like you, I like to be different.

Two 4.5s? That's alot of horsepower in that truck. I wouldn't put that much in it because I know I'd kill it with my driving :D . Sounds like you have some awesome batteries on the way to feed that beast too. Good luck. :)

thanks everyone I ran it today with some cheapos 1800 venom packs...man this thing can kick some dirt and rocks up with even with some cheap packs...a123racing packs will be in next week tuesday latest so im gonna use them to run with and post some videos off my digital camera since I got a 1gig card I can show ok videos on it...., but man it is cool I tell ya to run it....I got 10mins total with stop and go, stop and go, etc...the motors were very cool they were not hot one bit...so the dual 4.5r can handle it very welll.....

Jock, that's amazing. So the 4.5R motors ran cool? How did the ESCs run? That's a beautiful piece of work. I LOVE the knobby tires. Definitely post a vid, that's just way too cool man. I guess two 4.5Rs ARE enough for the juggy.

the escs were cool also.....I think the cheapo batery packs dont put that much juice into the ESC thats why i think the motor and esc were almost cold to tough plus the stop and go....not WOT.....I think with higher amerage batteries this thing will haul some booty, but we will see :D

Man that thing is a work of art! Very nice! I didn't know you could run 2 separate esc's like that-how do you know they're both spinning the motors at the same rpm, or does it matter?
Either way I'll bet it's a rocket! Awesome job!

with one motor its super slow....its almost like stock form...slow with the stock dual motors thats how I know at least cause I did try to run it with one motor to see how it performed and it stunk, but with 2 it made it come alive.....here is a cleaner setup which is complete now....this should be my basher the way it is setup....

Y-harness to the Rx to run them together. Each motor probably doesn't spin the exact same RPM either, but meh, it's only a bunch of RPMs off most likely since they're not running off of a common battery (IE- different voltages most likely). The worst that happens is that one motor has to pick up the ever so slightly extra slack of the other, but they're both still moving the same drive gear(s).

Jock- I bet when you put some serious batteries in there, things will get warmer...:p If not, it must be geared PERFECTLY and setup quite nicely (in which case, don't touch it :D)! Update us on how it runs with the li-po and li-ion stuff! :D

My guess would be "enough to put you in the doghouse when the wife finds out!" All aluminum usually equals serious $$$, not to mention a PAIR of high dollar brushless setups.
Jock, those shocks look like tlt-1 items. Is that what they are?
ElectricThunder-thanks for the explanation! I've always wondered how that works and it's simpler than I thought!

he he he....anyways yeah those are TLT shocks, but they are considered hop up option for the juggernaut.....those shocks were originally for the clod buster I believe, but you know tamiya they just keep rolling their parts to other vehicles.

Jock, are you trying to collect all custom/aluminum RC stuff? lol. I know you have that trick E-Maxx and now this jugg and soon to be all aluminum JPS clod with 2 HV-Maxx 4.5. Any update on that one?

paul from JPS wont return my calls or respond to my emails after i gave him 615 dollars 3 weeks ago today....from other forum members that have got into contact with him they said he was actually out of the gear cases and had to make more....still he cant respond back to me and tell me its going to take longer instead of the, "you get in 3 days bit".....I only like to build trucks that I like and that it has to in silver....since I couldnt find a silver juggernaut chassis well I had to settle for blue....I still need to buy the BAT chassis from inetrc.com for another project... :D

just wanted to say the dual brushless 4.5R is too powerful for the juggernaut...YES the dual 4.5R can handle it and the ESC and motor temsp are actually cold to touch, but man all the truck does is wheelie and tip over....I need a wider stance.

Yeah, I can only imagine!! So those center driveshaft / universal can take it okay?!

Cause I know for the rock crawler crowd, the stock TXT shafts always got trashed.. unless those you got are not stock unit!! :D

no they are not stock :) they are the steel version I believe of rc4wd.com that take a lot more punishment than stockers...
