So I understand most everything in the ICE, but there are a few things I am confused about:

1. I programmed it to charge my RC18T NiMH 1100 pack. The one that comes with it. The ICE stops charging it around 600-800. I have cycled it about 10 times already so I am not sure what is going on. For the settings I am using 1 amp and for the other stuff it is pretty much taken from their suggestions. Is there a setting I can change to make it less likely to shut off early? This is the only pack I am having this issue with.

2. Does the ICE always have to discharge a pack before it charges it? Or can it be set to just fill a pack? How?

3. I am confused about re-peaking mode. If I set the number of cycles on the main screen to, say, 4, it will do 4 complete discharge and charge cycles. I would assume in re-peak mode that setting would just control how many repeaks it does and not have an option to do complete cycles. But is there another place to set how many repeaks it does?

And if so, does it repeak on EVERY complete cycle, or just on the last one?

1. The ice is just telling you how much MAH you put into the pack, not how many MAH's are actually in the pack.

2. It definately doesn't need to discharge before it charges. I don't own one, but I'll try to get the answer to fix that. Are you in cycling mode or something??

3.

I figured out #3. You need to confirm the repeak-cycles by hitting -> or else it will do a normal charge, even in repeak mode! That is a user-interface anomaly and I emailed them a suggestion that it should always do a repeak charge in repeak mode and if you don't confirm how many cycles it should default to the last setting.

#1. It does tell you how many MaH are in the pack during discharge mode. I do two cycles when I want to know this info, as the second discharge should be accurate since 10 minutes earlier it would have had a 'full' charge.

I would love to know #2, but I checked the owner's manual, and I don't think there is an option to not discharge.

BTW, I love this charger. I will sometimes use my twin-pulse unit because it has AC power and does two packs, but the ICE has so many settings that that automatic chargers cannot possibly guess with any accuracy. My only complaint about it is that I don't own 4 of them and it is a drag to do one pack at a time. But I don't like to use my other chargers after using this. Also it takes 30-40 minutes to really learn how to use it whereas other chargers take 1 minute. But I am past that.

I think I know how to do #2. You do a 'repeak' mode but have it just be 1 cycle.
