Has anyone ever attempted to install one of these bad boys into a Traxxas T-Maxx? If so, how much hassel was it and what was needed for the conversion?

Thanks,

Roy

That engine will tear a maxx in two, Unless your running a full on supermaxx like respo.

but the question still remains, What is needed for the conversion?

Some kind of big block conversion kit with a BB motor mount, steel cvds for both axles and centers, way better F & R diffs, better or stronger clutch, better slipper and a stronger trans.

Big block wont fit stock motor mount and won't sit behind the trans either. Lots of work to get it to fit stock chassis. Get the dropin Picco made for Tmaxx or the RB TM323 - then only have the weak drivetrain to deal with.

I have a 27Picco that was in my Sav 4.6 while the orig engine went back for warranty and if the 28 is even only just as good, it will shred a Tmaxx drive train in short order. You will find every weak part in the drive train. When I installed a FR18 in one of my Tmaxxes, it stripped the diffs and and twisted drive shafts. Once I got those fixed its been fine, but thats only an 18.

I'm breaking in a picco .28 right now. I kid you not, you can just hear that it has sh#tloads of power. my buddy has a novarossi .28 and it sounds the same way.
