Man plaease stop caping all the starting letters its makin my eyes go nuts, but the crt is better for a local track, i would say go for the mgt, since the savages are beast trucks but a pain to work on and you need to buy alot to make them a racer.

I would say its hard to find both in one vehicle(bash/race). I own 2 savages and they are beasts!!!! They will handle just about anything you can hand them, having some type of bashing fun!! as for race, I would pick a Truggy if thats your main goal. All vehicles are geared different. Thats why on road cars smoke trucks, truggys, buggys, etc. I raced my savage LE against the new revo 3.3 and he beat me by about 3-4 feet.

Ive said it before Ill say it again Truggies are superior in every way, With a locked center diff they can do everything any MT will but better and faster.

Sure you can bUt your more likely to tear another car/truck to peices if you hit it quick enough.

Aleinink , I wouldnt get a truggy for a basher. There low center of gravity would deffinetly break something bashing. The darkness is right in a way, they are much better than a Monster truck in speed and handling but for bashing??? I wouldnt do it.

How so the lowest point of the truck is still right where the tire meets the rim, Most people dont relize that a truggies chassis is just a big ole skidplate and is made to take impact.

truggy is great for the track but would struggle bashing. My two cents? Get a MT such as lst2 or mgt and make a few mods. Best of both worlds :)

revo 3.3 is a nice mix of both
however, i must say, bashing with my friends 3.3 and 2.5, my savage x, does take the big jumps quite a bit better as far as nothing bottoming out and what not, but i love both trucks, either way, as long as your smart how you drive it, your not gonna have a problem whatever u choose.

Im selling one of my truggies right now:
http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=224057
Do not tell me it cant bash...Ive had Tmaxx's, Revo, Savage and if i ran any of them as "hard" as i do my race vehicles..they would break! I havent beaten on it and its only been ran on a track but its one VERY tough truck...i broke nothing on it in two days of running at a race pace on the track. Granted i didnt flip much(thanks to its amazing handling and in some part my driving skills :) ) but i think its a great racer and would make a fine basher as long as you arn't trying to crawl up rocks. Bashing would be fine!!!! They are alot stronger than Revos/Savages. What i mean is they are built to be easy to tear down and fixed, plus they are nearly bullutproof with the right hopups(I should know i have over $700 into my other truggy and thats just for the roller  Not trying to start a flame war but ive owned them all and have a good amount of experience with them. I like them all for different reasons but for me...its truggies all the way!
So what im saying....is buy it!! LOL Im keeping my other one and am selling this to get a xxx4 to race!
Good luck in whatever you decide to run.
After running a truggy .......I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO RUNNING A MT. THATS WHY I SOLD MY REVO AFTER I RAN THESE FOR THE FIRST TIME, THEY ARE TRULY AMAZING TO RUN! ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING LIKE IT.

Truggies can bash along side any MT. Ive jumped my truck 10' high over a hundred times at a bmx track onto flat ground not a landing which is much harder on any vehicle. Ive gone through mudpits flinging mud all over, construction areas with big dirt hills to climb you name it a truggy can do what any MT can.
I dont know about all truggies but the ones I do can have 3"-3 1/2" ground clearance with same amount of susp travel or more. This is plenty for bashing using the right oil and springs.
So basically the ones that say a truggy cant bash have never owned one.

ive heard good things about them, and youd assume a big ol' engine would make it pretty quick, top end nottoo sure about, gearing it would be essential to get what your looking to get out of it.
