i bought this charger a month ago and cant figure out the instructions

mode 1 it states its for charging small AAA size batteries or repeak your 7.2v sub c packs.ive been using this one to actually peak charge my battery so that right?

mode 2 is coldstart charge and states will discharge the pack then automatically switch to fastcharge red lead will change from solid to flashing.well im not sure if they mean flashing red but it goes to flashing green slow charge....that dont seem right

mode 4 memory eraser is this function do the charging with slow charge?because that's where its getting on my charger

Here's my guess. It sounds like the intellipulses,

1 Fast charge or a trickle.
2 Discharge to charge cycle.
4 Repeating cycling.

There shoukld be a trickle mode and a seperate fast charge mode.

1.vesc repeak
2.vesc coldstart=4.memory eraser=goes from discharge to slowcharge then supposivly back to discharge
i use to a duratrax intelli peak digital and i could actually hear from the battery a rrrrrrr noise when its being peaked, this one i cant and i use function 1 but the integy says on the lcd i got 1700 mah on a rc1500 and it runs about 10 minutes.no flat pack or anything

Is that the version 6 charger? I used the 16x5 and 16x5v6 DC chargers and from what you posted sounds like you are skipping between programing modes. I'll check my instructions with those of the 16x4 and get back to you later today. At work now and without the charger or manual I'm not completely clear of each step, plus I haven't used them for awhile.
They put a extra step in the type of charge and discharge modes with the version 6 chargers that wasn't in the previuos models.

The MAH rate, like the voltage will sometimes be much higher than the rated voltage or capacity of the cells. But when discharged the measured capacity of pack would be below 1500 probably in the 1300MA area.
When cycling GP3300 for example new packs have peaked at 4000MAH normally between 3600 to 3800 but the capacity when discharged is only 2700 to maybe 3100. Rechargable batteries are able to take in voltage that exceeds their rated voltage and capacity but cannot maintain it when a load is applied.
