I bought a futaba 3PK at my LHS, but it didn't come with a charger for the battery pack.

Does anyone know if the Revo receiver battery charger can charge the pack?

The pack is an 8 cell sanyo 9.6V 700mAh NiCd.

Futaba does include the charger FBC19B4 dual charger with the 3PK. If you purchased it as new I would make the LHS aware of it but if it was sold used that might be a problem. While I'm not sure if the other charger will work - voltage output and charging jack may not be compatible. The charger by itself is available from Tower Hobbies costing about 16.99. It is compatible with NiMH cells, even though Futaba states Nicad only. I use it with all my Futaba radios, and 120/180 NiMh receiver packs. I purchased the dry cell battery for use with AA NIMH.

Futaba packages their radios differently for sales outside the USA. The battery and charger are included with the Futaba Magnum 3PK in the USA. Outside the USA it is commonly called the Futaba Megatech 3PK and only comes with the dry cell holder and no NiCad battery and charger.

The Revo charger is a trickle charger so that would work, just be sure that the polarity is the same for the plug and jack.

The Revo charger shown above is a peak type charger and should do an good job, so answer to your question - yes, it will work. The Revo manual says this is the charger you have.

There are two ways to charge batt in the 3PK - can pull it out like you'll be doing with the Revo charger. The factory charger is a trickle charger that charges the batt while its in the tx using a charge port on the TX.

I have 2 batts I use in mine - the same one you have (now a backup) and a 2300 Sanyo NiMh pac I bought in Hong Kong. Integy used to sell them. I peak charge both using my Ice charger. If I'm worried about having enough to run again the next day, I'll overnite trickle with the stock charger.

The Revo charger is for 5-6 cells. The xmitter has a 8 cell pack. Won't work.

WOW, I totally didn't catch that! Some times I can be a real space cadet!
I hope he already had the Revo charger and didn't go buy one. I don't think it will hurt anything - just won't charge it completely?

Agree on the ICE - that's the way I prefer to charge mine.
