Looking for some help. I have been a R/C airplane pilot for 25 plus Years. I have done cars, trucks, Hilocopters and a boat for a short period of time.( I bought it used and never really could get it running right.) Thinking about returning to boats.
I have flown Mostly Gas and dont really know much about electric. Electric Airplane Motors and batteries are not what they used to be I am sure the Marine side has also got a lot better.
I dont want to spend a lot of Money at first, as in anything if You dont spend enough it can be wasted Money I believe.
Any Boats anyone want to suggest I consider,
Thanks in advance :)
John

kinda depends on how big an area you have availible to run on. not to mention what sort of boats interest you. for a go-fast in a small area(pool) a number of folks would suggest a 'reef racer2' as a good starter boat. for larger bodies of water I hear that 'vac-u-boat' has some nice boat kits(with instructions geared for beginners)hth

the aquacraft supervee 27 is coming out soon. it is under $300 and all you need to do is add batteries. it might be right up your alley.

Where will you be running the boat? Most city and county parks don't allow nitro or gas boats in their lakes; but most will allow electric, steam and sail boats. The following reasons are usually given for no gas/nitro power: noise; speed; & hazmat pollution from the fuel.

About 31 mph totally stock, up to 38mph with prop upgrades. My impression is that the stock motor is pretty good. I don't think I'll outgrow it.

The boat isn't even out on the market yet but Mike "Grimracer" Zaborowski already has some tips for those thinking of buying one. First, he recommends getting another turn fin and mounting it on the left side. The other is doing some experimenting with props but nothing drastic.
