Hey guys, Team FCR is happy to bring you some custom CNC parts especially made for 1/8 brushless conversions !!

So far, our prototype motor and fan/esc mount for the Hyper 7 is a HUGE success !

The motor mount :

Made from 6061 aluminium alloy, the mount is 6mm thick on wall and 3mm on the base (to bring the motor’s center of gravity down) and features slots to move the motor, a hole for the bearing (customizable depending on the application) and counter-bore screws to bolt it on the diff holder. Its also boltable in the chassis, it’s threaded to make it even easier and cleaner ! This way we minimize flex but if it ever happens, it does so with the spur and pinion so damage is prevented !

The Fan/esc mount

This mount uses your diff holder to augment integrity and also make it part of the chassis. Its built to be very strong around the diff holder and very light and possible bendable/breakable on the back stretch. The reason for that is in case of a crash, we want it to flex just enough to absorb some of the damage and at the same protect the esc or fan.
It’s got integrated holes and sliders to make it lighter and also install fans if the esc is mounted on the chassis below. Look at the sliders on both sides, you could mount 4 fans, 2 on each side to cool the motor and esc !!!

Battery pack holders and much more stuff to follow !

We’ll listen to you and see if production is possible, the tentative pricing will be as follow,

Custom motor mount : 45$
Custom fan/esc mount : 30$

Combo 60$

Shipping will be around 10$ for Canada and the USA. Worldwide is no problem at all and it will all depend on cost and urgency ! We can also offer faster shipping, all on a one on one basis.

We’ll entertain offers from Dealers as well as individuals !

We can be reached at TeamFCR@excite.com

Please, if you have any suggestions or requests, don’t be afraid to ask us !

Thanks,
David Richard

Are there going to be different models for the varying buggies, or is it going to be a universal thing? I would be interested in setups for a Sportwerks Turmoil and an X-Ray XB8R.

I've got a XB8R and i'd like to know if it's possible to mount it on too.

So far we have the ofna 9.5 series coverd and the ofna hyper 7. Looking into getting the kyosho 7.5 series and the xb8r. All we need is a center diff to adapt and make it custom. If any of you is willing to ship us the whole center diff assembly, within a week it would get returned and we'd be able to produce the unit ! Just let us know if any of you volunteers. We could offer a great deal on the motor mount for the person voluntary !

Guys, we've added the

KYOSHO Inferno 7.5 series
OFNA 9.5 series

And soon, hyper 8 !!

For whoever needs something else ! Just contact us at teamfcr@excite.com and all we'll need is your center diff assembly, some pics of the chassis and you're all done !!

Thanks !

any plans on doing one for the losi 8ight? I am trying to decide between picking up a used hyper 8 or the losi 8ight. I really like the look of the losi and have always been a losi guy. I figured I could just wait a few months and pick up the rtr 8ight and just sell the motor and stuff.

The Losi 8ight looks pretty tough to convert, what with its layout and narrow chassis. Personally I'd go for a used Hyper.

We wont say no, we'll try for sure. But at this point we'd need more than just the diff assembly and would require the chassis, the braces and the center diff assembly with most likely driveshafts to calculate everything.

what about the Mugen Mbx5? can you make one to convert the MSR to brushless?

Should, all we really need is the center diff assembly including diff to take measurements and build it in 3d afterwards...

Thats it !

Thanks,

David

Same thing, unless you can find if it fits the 9.5 series, hyper 7 or kyosho 7.5 series, which we all already have...

when do you expect to be done with the mounts for the hyper 8? Just picked up a used one today and figured I would start the conversion as soon as the mounts are ready.

I would need the center diff assembly and diff itself to take measurements. I dont have any available. So unless you send me your assembly, It won't be available for some time !

Thanks,
