I Just ordered from Tower a Blackfoot Extreme and needed to know if I should primer the ABS body 1st before paitning it gloss black or if I can just paint it without the primer. Thanks

I used to own a Monster Beetle.... an original Blackfoot's hopped up twin. It had the ABS body and in my humble opinion, I would just paint it, skip the primer. Because, no matter what you do, it's going to get scratched up and looking nasty... quick! You'll either be doing touch up painting all the time or waiting to put a lexan body on it as soon as you can which will survive or look nice much longer!

i agree with Race,if its gonna be a show peice n a non runner,i would primer the body!if not, dont worry about it.u could also run a aftermarket body instead of the tamiay body.i usually save the tamiya bodies from the kits!

Well I don't plan on bashing it, just running it and maybe some off-roading but nothing really extreme.

Hey thats pretty sharp. I got the quick change battery holder, red ball links and the plastic oil filled shocks for mine. So everything should be here on the 30 or the 31st from Tower. :D
