ok well i have a sort of custom maxx truck and i was wondering if this system would be good for it. i dont plan on paying much for it and it is pretty cheap. i would be using 14.4 volts on it on it.

The one you linked to is not suitable for use heavy land vehicles, let alone trucks that are Maxx sized. The combo in the above link will give good performance and good runtime as well.
