up to 500 and cheaper as long as it is nitro

Take a look at the Aquacraft Miss Vegas (http://www.aquacraftmodels.com/boats/aqub32-main.html). From the reviews (http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=219990) on this board, it is a much better boat than the Proboat Miss Elam or Miss Llumar. The Miss Vegas has a .18 engine, flotation foam installed in the sponsons, and a better layout for maintenance.
