Heres what my extra MSR body looked like before i stripped it.

Then I stripped it with ELO and every spec of paint came off  All the marks are scratches, not paint.

Finally, I put saran wrap on the outside of the body, and drew my design. I decided to replicate a body I saw on ebay with a few changes. Im running those new "invisi-rims" ;)

Tell me what you think :) Its my new race scheme. I did the heavy shadows on purpose, btw.

Info on how I stripped my body can be found here: http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41750

That's what I've done to a couple of my old bodies. Strip them and paint them up again. You can experiment with it without messing up a new body.

The body looks good also.

First off it's cool that you were able to recycle the body. What is ELO, where can I find it, and what type of paint can it remove?

ELO is made my Floquil, "Easy Lift Off". You might be able to find it at your LHS, maybe in the train or plane section.

Buggy, do you know what kind of paint was on the body to begin with? Pactra or Faskolor for example, lacquer or acrylic?

Thanks guys!

Maxx, I have no idea. I got my truggy used with it. I think it would work with any kind of paint though.

I got mine in the paint isle at my lhs.

Easy Lift Off.... I will try to get some, my Viper body got a mayority of water base paint, but the rest is enamel paint.

Caution: ELO will kill everything in its path besides the lexan. That includes all your decals. So, if you want to spare them, use a pre-used decal sheet and transfer them onto it.

Thanks for the warning, for luck all the decals are in the outerside of the body, not inside, where do you get the the ELO?

Here is one pic of my Viper, more to come, but you can see some bad painted areas in the pic. Also I need to strip the paint to get all the lights in place.
