Does Anyone Know Of A Good Book, Or Reference For Rigging A 4' Sail Boat?? I Have Blue Prints For A 16' Trailor Sailor, ( From Clark Craft,) I Was Going To Build This Until I Pinched A Nerve In My Back. I Must Stay With A Lot Smaller Boats, Now. I Want To Make A 1/4 Scale R.c. Model From The Prints. I Need To Know What Sail Servo's Will Work And How To Set Them Up. And Any Other Information That Would Help Me In This Project.

Two books come to mind to help with your project. The first is "Building and racing radio control sailboats" by Thomas J. Houle; but, it's been out of print for a long time but you might google the title and may find an used copy online.
The second is "Radio controlled racing yachts" by Chris Jackson, and again a google search will likely find you a source for this soft bound book.
As for sail servos, both Futaba and Hitec have both winch and arm-style sail servos; however, you'll have to determine your hull's total sail area and mast/deck layout to matchup a servo for your needs.

You'll likely have more sail than a hobby servo can handle. One builder of boats in this size uses power window motors and limit switches.

i will try to find said books, will sic my wife on it, she's better at it than i.
there will b almost 45 sq.ft. of sail area, aprox. 25 sq.ft. main sail and approx. 20 sq.ft. jib.
would this be beyond the capability of the sail servo's available?
