Which brushless system can use 14.8v on RC18? I want speed, faster than comp x 11.1

If you need more speed than a comp x on 11.1V, then something must not be right in your system. You want a bigger motor (24mm) for more torque to pull some higher gearing. You can disable the bec on the Mamba 25 to run 14.8V. The Quark Pro Car 33A can even run 5S lipo. I used to run a Feigao 130-12L in my 18T and have some 280-21S motors I would like to try.

Pull the red wire out of the receiver connector. That's the universal way to disable the BEC on ESCs with the built-in BEC chips. You will also need to use either a receiver pack or external BEC device.

Do you really need to run more than 4s in a mini? I've heard, and seen the comp X system with 3s li-po hitting upwards of 60mph.

edit, the mamba can run 4s li-po as others have said if you disable the BEC and run an RX pack.

i read somewhere on the internet where you have to disconnect the red wire, get a seperate bec, and use a receiver pack..... i have never actually done this.... but it's what i heard somewhere.....
