This radio im thinking about getting it holds a 6 model memory and all that with 3 charachter name holding for youre vehicles... ive NEVER USED any radio system besides the ones that come with the rtr is this going to be hard for me to program??? also do i need to buy new receivers for each one of my cars or can i just use the standard ones that i got???? i dont know much about the radio i just have 4 cars and i want one controller instead of all 4 was told to look in to this but if its to hard than i dont wanna do it...

No, you will need new FM receivers for each car. The RTR receivers are AM. If I'm correct the XS3 is their synth radio so you'll need 75MHz synth receivers or get the standard 75MHz FM receivers with the appropriate crystals in them. Since the radio is synth you should be go to go with either type of receiver.
If you can read the manual then you can program the radio. If you can't read, well.........

i though that my receivers for my maxx jato and revo were all FM receivers???

Are they a traxxas top qualfier (TQ) radio ?? if they are then they are AM.
I love my jr radio I have 2 with 12 cars on them.

well actually my one tmaxx has a 75mhz receiver does it HAVE TO BE synth receiver or can it just be 75 mhz???? also yes i looked they are am also is it easy to program them???

what is the 75 mhz crystal # ?

There are 75 mhz am and fm . look at your receiver to see

I think it will work .
you can use a standard 75 fm receiver. you just set the radio to the crystal #.

Yes, you just will have to tune the radio to match the receiver crystal frequency. That just requires pushing a few buttons. Now the interesting part is that you will need to get compatable receivers for JR because on 75MHz Futaba and Hitec are not compatable with JR (different shift).
