Hello all
I need some advise
I want to put a center diff in my Brushless MT2
here is the link to my thread,
http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=220805
I converted the center gear assemlbly to accept a 32pitch spur, from the (MOD1) stock set-up.
And as we all know there is a shortage of MOD1 pinions for a 2.5mm motor shaft, as found on the MambaMaxx Motors :( .
And since I'am experiencing a very bad wobble on the Spur that develops at high speeds :o . I need to fix this. this is baddd very baddd.
Or if any one has any other suggestion's I would be greatly indebted to you

I thought mamba max shafts were a standard 3.17mm? Tower has MOD1 gears for about 6 bucks a pop I think (for either 5mm or 1/8" shafts, I can't remember). Centruy makes them I believe.

Well that would be my bad on the size of the shaft, on the MM Motor.
But more to the point. have you any knowledge on a center Diff for my truck???

Unfortunately...no. However, maybe you can fab up (if you have the resources) a mount that will hold an 1/8 buggy diff? Or just steal one from an 1/8 buggy (mount and diff) and put that onto the MT2 perhaps? Of course, then you'd need to find the MOD1 pinions (which are, like you said.....not fun to try and find; especially for 1/8" shafts).

Well heres a question for you??

No. No need for center diff in 1/10 buggies or trucks, normally just adds more weight than needed.

Well OK then :o
Is there any body out there who would have any great ideas for making a spur assembly for this car. Here is a veiw of what the spur appears to look like, the part that is causing the wobble is the little steel dowel that slips into the shaft and locks the spur hub into the spur.

Any help would be greatly appreactated

I decided to stick with Mod1 gears in my MT2 for the strength. I got a 1/8" to 5mm" pinion bore adapter for $6 from Mike at RC-Monster, so now I can run any regular Mod1 5mm pinion in my Mamba MT2.

I run the regular mod 1 diff as well with a Feigao 540-7S with 5mm shaft.

So I guess I need some Mod1 pinions, This really bites because I just finished buying a near compleate set of 32p pinions, and Spurs.
Jamie, do you sell the adapters needed to run the 5mm shafts?????
