I been doing R/C cars for years and decided to get a boat but now I don't what to get. I already waisted my money on a Traxxas Nitro Vee so I'd to get some opinions before I spend some more dough. I'm only looking for a boat to play with and not race, but I would like something that I can get bolt ons for and gradually make faster (the most fun of R/Cing). I do expect it to go out of the box though not like the Nitro Vee. Thanks for your help. :)

Well adkrevoracer, I guess I was like you, I wanted a boat that I could run out of the box but still upgrade later. I am no racer either but I modded my EP Hammer to run pretty fast. I prefer electric since that is what I run. The Hammer is good and basic with room to upgrade. I cannot comment about the Nitro Hammer but I have not heard anything terrible about it. I hope this helps.

One of the best out of the box right now is the Aquacraft Miss Vegas. It's fast as it is but with a little tweaking it can be made faster.

If you wanted to go electric, that is going to be one wicked boat out of the box! After talking to Mike "Grimracer" Zaborowski about it, he thinks that I'd love it. He and I aren't electric boaters but this one might just change my mind about them. Mike said about all it needs is some prop work and it will really scoot then. He also advised to get one more turn fin and place it on the left side.

The SV27 looks great. I have been drooling over it ever since I saw it in the latest RCBM. I have been wanting to get into boats for a while and I think this one would be a great start.

I ended up buying a Miss Vegas and it rocks. I'm totally satisfied with it . Thanks for the advice. :D

Hi there all, I am very new and had just started in RC boating.By the way, I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Actually I am having a problem in selecting my desired boat.Historically, I ran an electric Kyosho Twinstorm 800 powered by 14.4v (two 7.2 volts PANSAN 3,300 mAh) that equipped with Kyosho standard ESC and 2 550 Motors, Perfex servos but sadly I couldn't make any remidy on it due to the cost impact. It was because of the electronic circuit break-up and also the motor burned, smoked after the last run.And now I quitted the electric and moved to Nitro.Several factors encouraged me to look forward into any Ready to run set.So far I knew Miss Vegas U-18 by Aquacraftmodels is one of the best options.I would like to have some other opinions, reviews and also any action photos of Miss Vegas U-18 I would greatly appreciated. Thank you very much !

I have been flying planes and now want a nitro boat. Have about 280.00 to spend and want something fast, easy to handle, well built, and something a first time boater will not reck right away.

Thoughts?
