I have an M8 and have tried using the anti lock brake feature on it but didn't think it was working correctly. Has anyone used this? How does it work and exactly what is it supposed to be doing? Lastly how did you have it set up? I would like to try this but it just shakes my servo like crazy when i activate it.
Thanks

Thats exactly what it does, it pulsates the servo very fast. I dont have it on my radio, but I heard is bad for the servo, it will kill it faster than if you dont use it.

Whenever you apply the brakes its either pressure or no pressure at all.

In the Futaba Magnum digital transmitter the braking signal can be adjusted to slow, med or high. When you send the signal, lets say in slow mode, even if you go full braking it will do the same job as you braking/ not braking/ braking. It is sometimes done instinctively when drivers dont want the rc to tail slide or prevent engine stalling in nitros.

Its NEVER like on a real car where the braking is compensated on each corner equalizing (compensating) the force to the calipers.

The feature is not that amazing, but it is noticeable.

It's like RCFUN said...it pulses the brakes in an effort to keep the wheels from locking up much like a real ABS system works. However there is no sensors to detect wheel spin so you have to set the ABS system so it doesn't lock them up. This is typically done through a combination of the throttle travel (for the strength of braking), the pulse duration, and the time between pulses.

Pulses the brakes, good with slippery tracks. they do what there suppose to, ALB. and it is adjustable to your need. If you're a aggressive driver, turn it off. If not play with it and decide. Remember, if you driver a on-road car, wih one-way brg in the frt end, your braking come from the rear wheels.

Thanks for the input. I have just enough brake to slow down from speed and know how to adjust my driving to compensate. I also know what too much brake can do to a vehicle in mid air, so i think for the time being i'll just stick to what is working and leave this alone.

Thanks all

The anti lock is set for the third channel for Nitro vehicles it doesn't work on electric vehicles and should be turned off. For electric vehicles set the coast or drag brake to either be harder depending on type of racing. That is when easing off the throttle trigger brakes kick in without having to use the brake function except for very slow tight corners. Also most Pro and Competition style esc has a mode setting which can also be programed by setting the coast brake stronger or softer.

Well I'm not all that familiar with the M8 specifically but on the 3PJ the ALB function works quite well with electric vehicles.
