As long as you are talking the Sphere Comp... yes. I have even heard the Novaks run better on the LRP.

Yes Ive got the Sphere Comp and the 4 star Vector motor. I want to upgrade to the 3.5. Is it worth it?

yes . I have an electric tc3 with the 3.5 system. The car is truly a beast. I have beaten highly modified nitro cars in a 300 ft race.

run a lipo with that and you'll go real quick...i hear 6000mah 2s lipos are the same foot print as normal batts and they're lighter which means fairly quick

In my T4 I've been running the LRP Sphere and Sphere Competition with Novak and Reedy motors. In my "testing" this is what I have done:
LRP Sphere:
Reedy 1*
Reedy 2*
Novak SS5800 (has random software issues)
Novak SS13.5
LRP Sphere Competition:
Reedy 1* (Smoked the motor but the ESC wasn't to blame)
Reedy 2*
Novak SS5800
Novak SS13.5
So only the 5800 gives me random issues, but that motor was released before the original Sphere ESC. I would expect the Novak 4300 to cause issues as well, but it would probably work fine with the Sphere Competition since the motor was already out and LRP could test to make sure it worked with it.

The Sphere competition CANNOT handle the 3.5! It can only handle down to a 4.5 turn brushless motor.

That's tough to imagine since the GTB gets hotter than the Comp using similar motors... at least from the guys I know.

according to lrp its rated down to a 4.5. glassdoctor, i do agree with you though. my comp runs cooler then my gtb ever did.

LRP Sphere Competition catalog says that it is limited to 3.5 turn. Glassdoctor and Aeoffroader why do you think that it can't handle 3.5R novak.
I think it can handle. Let me explain:
I have already bought LRP Sphere Competition
Here is the link:
http://www.teamassociated.com/shusting/CatalogHub/lrp/sphere.htm
that link has the same datas with my ESC orijinal user manuel.
below is the orijinal LRP link but They made a mistake it is writen that limit is up tu 4.5
that' not true

what do you think now?

I think you misunderstood me... I said the Sphere Comp CAN handle whatever the Novak can. If the GTB can do 3.5 then I would think the LRP can too.
It's the original Sphere I would question....

glassdoctor, sorry I realy misunderstood yoo. I go along with you...
Is there someone who actually uses LRP Sphere Competition with 3.5R Novak brushless motor? Is there any problem?
Thanks

According to LRP it can not handle a 3.5. Look at the chart in your link. It says brushless limit over 3.5 turns. That means 4.5 or more. Now that is what they spec the controller for. Does it mean you can not push it more? No. Look what they are doing with the Mamba systems. But according to the lrp a 3.5 is a no-no. And it is not relevant what the GTB can do to decide what the LRP can do. There may be some part of the LRP that has issues when you run a 3.5 that the GTB does not. I doubt it but there may be.

I probably should have restated my first post. The Sphere Comp cannot handle a 3.5 turn motor under warranty. The sphere comp could probably handle a 3.5 turn, its just not advised to and will in all probability void the warranty.
Here is something to think about: LRP is set to release yet another sphere, the sphere comp TC spec. It's rating states 'Greater than 3 turns' aka 3.5 turns is its limit. Why would they release another with a new rating if the previouse could already handle it?
