Hi, somewhat new to the forumn (different username). I was wondering what some of your guys thoughts are on the Wild Cat electric boat. I was thinking about picking one up just to play around with on the lake and with my little guy.

This boat has been out of production for many years. It was a decent entry-level boat fifteen years ago, but it depends on the condition of the boat today. The plastic weakens and gets brittle, the wiring too. Modern cells will stress the motors and controller, perhaps beyond their design limits, but for causal running the boat might work well especially if the price is low enough. For more steady use, a modern boat might be better. Here is an old review:
