I've got a Novak Explorer II laying around that I'd like to use in a Bolink Legend. The ESC is rated for 6-7 cells. Will there be a problem if I run a 4-cell pack?

yep..dont think it will work. you want to look for one that is rated for 4....i recall the old novak 4-10m5, that would take 4-10 cells...something like that.

Thanks, guys. I figured it wouldn't work. I'm a nitro guy, and the technical side of electrics is something I don't know much about.

Running "less" cells then recommended for the ExplorerII is okay. It might cut off the motor a bit soon if you try to "dump" the pack. But for the legends racing application, it should be fine. It's been used by many a legends racer over the years.
