Anybody have 1st hand experience with the 3.5? Currently I am running a GTB 5.5 in a rustler,geared 17/84 and I love it. My batterys are Radio shack GP 3300's. I am thinking about installing the new 3.5. Do you think my batterys would handle the 3.5 ,they get hot as hell now after bashing in the street and yard. And would the speed be that much more? Thanks.

The 3.5 will be a little faster with those packs, but the biggest difference in speed happens when you install a good new pack.

I'd go out on a limb and say yes, simply because the amount of amperage the 3.5 can probably pull is off the wall compared to the 5.5 (both in spikes and in continuous current).
Like SpEEdy said.....better batteries will yield better performance, and if you do plan on getting the 3.5......you will need better batteries than the 3300 is you A) want the system's full potential, and B) don't want batteries coming off hot enough to cook small meat patties...:D:D:D
