There is no comparison......
Seriously though, the only thing the GTB/5.5r has over the MM5700 system is it has quite a bit more punch from a stand-still while mashing the throttle. After about 6 inches of movement though, the Mamba Max system is right where the GTB/5.5r is, if not more so. This must be the "advantage" of a sensored system. Here's my setup:
Novak xxx-t
Mamba Max 5700
Novak GTB 5.5r
Orion 4800 Lipo
dirt hawg tires (bald, unfortunately, speed hawgs on the way)
14t pinion
Within 10 minutes, the Novak system would thermal. The esc was cool, but the motor was hot enough to fry bacon. You could touch it and immediately have white burn marks on your fingers, it got that hot. The motor plate was too hot to touch, the pinion could likely melt solder. The lipo was moderately warm, and the wires were pretty hot.
Now, the mamba max system, I can run it until the lipo dumps, and still hold the motor can in my hand. The battery is room temperature, and no noticable heat in the wires. It's incredible how much more efficient this system is than the novak.
Now, consider the mindlessly easy way to program the Mamba Max system, it's 100% clear which one is the better buy. I almost feel silly now suggesting Mamba Max was simply just the flavor of the week. Keep up the good work Castle Creations!
