Was looking around, and found this (http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/images/forsale_motors/dr_mount_2nd.JPG) mount. It's for boats, but it'll fit 500, 600, and 700 size motors. Wonder if it'd work well enough for 1/10 nitro conversions like the MT2? (Gear mesh would have to be set by moving the actual mount from side to side, since the holes are fixed; and the other problem would probably be a lack of thickness so larger motors might move.) Not bad for something that costs 7 bucks off of off shore electrics though I suppose?

i suppose that if you bought two you could use one to support the rear of the motor or possibly constuct something else to suport the rear of the motor.
then it would be strong enough.
The only reason people use such heavy duty aluminium is because the motor is just hanging there from one end.

Wouldn't that be more of a problem with L canned motors and the like? Using two would be another idea...good thinking. Still would only be like, 14 bucks too....:D This is making it kinda tempting to do a 1/10 conversion..... ARGH! I need to finish my other project first! Too much to do...too limited of funds and time to do it!
