There is a possible chance of afternoon showers, but the event hasn't been called off as yet. We will see how the weather goes and then they will make the decision. If they don't race and the weather is fine, the track is open for practice. Running hrs are 10am-6pm no exceptions.

Today went great although we didn't do any registration or such - it was just a regular practice day. Couple racers showed up, but we had more family/friends than runners. Some great racers showed up and it was an honor to be able to run with them and the rest as we had a great time. I ran basically with what I had since I went in a turmoil this morning snatching all my stuff together and blasting out the front door. Good thing the registration didn't go down today. I did manage to make it to the LHS afterwards and support them by buying several stuff. Now it's time to resetup and get ready to run. Aces has my Setup gauges on order so once they're in, it's set. The .12TR I ran in the R40 was just decent for the track. Trying to be more consistent allowed me to keep up with the rest. The rear end wasn't planted so tonight I'm going to work on that. Now I have my gear (minus a better .12 for the sedan) to be able to run this weekend. This is my new home track which I had grown up running the sedan and 8th on so I have to go. The traction additive did add more steering as I'm use to running without it. Wear on the track is mimimal and you can run upto 40s in sedan if you wish. Here are few pics I snapped with my cell since the digi cam batts weren't ready.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to the following we have changed the location of the '06 Region One Nitro Championships.

The Town of Bridgeport Ct. has:

1.) limited us to 50 registered racers.
2.) limited us to running between 10am & 6pm.

The Region 1 Champs will be moved to Floyd Bennett Field!

Rick Hill and the Fanatic Remote Racers have come to help us in our time of need, letting us use their home track to run this great event.

Rick and FRR
Thank you on the behalf of everyone attending this race!!!

Saturday was a great day indeed. It was a slow start and not as many racers showed up, however that didn't stop us from running. Everyone seemed to have a good time and made the best of what they had. Here's some shots I took and I'm trying to upload the vids.
