Brushless motor/Esc Question??

I just bought a Duratrax Evader ST, and im wondering whats the best bushless system i can put in this truck. I want a good amount of torque and alot of top end. im trying to compete with my friend who has a nitro rs4 mt with a os 18 cvrx.

Mamba Max 7700 with SMC IB4200 batteries geared 18/88 should yield about 50 MPH, if it is the Pro Evader(graphite).Ball bearings and aluminum idler gear are a must on the Evader.

Has anyone used the Velociti Motors before??? i was looking at the 3.5R until i read on there website that its made for on road cars only, im guessing its for on-road cars, because it lacks the torque that is needed for off road. Am i right?? theres also a 5.5R thats used for on road and high-traction off-road . what does that mean???

Velocity 3.5=10500 rpm per 1 volt (63000rpm (6x10500)with a high quality 6 cell pack)
490 watts

Velocity 5.5=7400 rpm per 1 volt (44400rpm(6x7400)) 6 cell max
380 watts

Mamba Max 7700 rpm per 1 volt (46200rpm (6x7700))
1000 watts (500 continuous) 8 cell

The Velocity 5.5R would work good in the Evader,good bottom end and speed.

The Mamba Max 7700 would be insane in the light Evader, it might shred the transmission though :eek:

Actually on-road cars require more torque than offroad cars. The reason why novak says the the 3.5 is for touring cars is because it is too much for offroad cars in an offroad race. Conversely, if you put a higher turn motor in a touring car, it will feel weak or lack top speed.

I dont plan on ever racing off road, more like bashing wit a few friends . i just want to have the ability to go fast if i need to. like i said a friend has a os .18 in his truck and the thing is a monster off road and on road and i want to out perform him not matter what we do lol

Then get the Mamba Max 7700. As stated above, prepare to beef up some parts though.
