I'm thinking of getting an xray T2 or T2R and I was wondering would this be a good idea? Will the power of the bl (max 7700) just rip the belt?
What do you guys think?

No.. I think you are fine running it in a top-of-the-line car whether it's belt or shaft.

I run the 7700 system in my old RS4; trans rear and belt front. No problems with it in 2 months so far.
