I just purchased a new XXX-BK Edition Electric Buggy and would like to try a brushless system. I race and practice on a medium size track and was wondering what Brushless system people would recommend. The electric motor i used to use in my old kit was a 13 turn triple so I would like something comparable or slightly faster.
What batteries are also recommened to use in this car with a brushless system.
Any response would be helpful.

I'm running a MambaMax 4600 in my B4 and it feels a lot like a triple/quad brushed.... I'd say like a 11-12x3 so it's just what you are asking for.
One of the locals thought it compared well to his 10X4 after driving my car for a pack. It's certainly in that ballpark.. hard to say exactly because all brushed motors are different anyway. Trinity vs. Orion, etc

What type of Batteries should I get ? Are you runng LIPO and if so from what company? Did you have any problems getting the esc to fit in the car ???

Actually fitting the Mamba into a B4 is a bit of a pain, depending on which body you have. I run a Jconcepts body, and it's jacked up a little with the Mamba under it. Some have just cut a little "cooling slot" duct where the caps are.
I actually choose to remove/modify the case of the Mamba and that lets it sit low enough. It has some unused space in the case so you can remove it or trim off the bottom to lower the speedo.
I'm racing so I use the normal matched 6 cell packs... IB4200s etc.
I have Maxamps lipos I run in other cars and setups but haven't used em in a B4/T4. I do have some in a XX4 I run with a 7700 motor. That's a lot of fun. :D :driving:

Thanks for all the info. I went to Mamba Max's website and will order the esc today. I would assume the 7700 is the fastest for touring cars and then the 5700 is next in line then the 4600 being the slowest which I doubt is "slow"

Well im running a Novak 5.5 in my XXX-CR that i just got. But....it might be too much :D Im also picking up my Lipo for it tonight so that should make it even more fun. My vote would be for the GTB esc and Novak 5800 motor or even a 7.5 Velociti. Heck, maybe even an 8.5! I ran a XXX-CR that belongs to the track owner last week with Orion 4800 lipo and Novak 4300 and it was pretty quick. Very controlled but still good punch. I just had to one up him with mine :)
I ran against him with my 5.5 powered XX-4 and would kill him in acceleration on the longer sections. Over all with his skill and my power we were pretty evenly matched. I was able to hang with him and swap paint :)
Note: On the GTB you will need to remove the fan otherwise the body hits it and shuts it off.
Here is a link to mine w/ pics.

Oh and the CR...............................is amazing! I had a BK1 w/ Novak 5800ss and it was fun. I like the CR more though.

Are Mamba Max motors interchangeable with other manufactures. I don't think so because of sensored and sensorless but asking anyway. Can sensored esc and motors be interchangeable with other sensored manufacturers ??

Yes, but I recomend you stick with the mamba max esc anyway, because it's the best esc on the market right now. I'm not getting the impression that their motors are though. What motor you choose is up to you.

What motor would you recommend with the Mamba esc. I currently run a 13 Double brushed on a medium indoor offroad track with a XXX-BK2

If the track is a high bite track where teh car is really hooked up I would go with a 5700. If it's too much motor you can dial it back with punch control and gearing etc.
Otherwise I think the 4600 geared like a stock motor is very nice. It's smooth and controllable.
