I was just remembering my first car, the fx-10 and I kinda had to chuckle. I still remember trying to put the nasty gearbox together for the first time. Some how when I was done one wheel spun one way and the other in the opposite direction. I was like 11 at the time so gimme a break! :D Just wondering if there are any other FXer's out there.

The FX-10 was also my first car and was my worst experience with RC ever. I'm surprised I was able to talk my brother into getting me another car after that. I was about 11 when I got the FX-10, but it took forever to build. The rear suspension mounts and gearbox halves normally split every time a screw was started. We continually got replacement parts from Futaba until it finally went together. And then when it ran, one jump, and the suspension mounts in the back split, and the front of the chassis began to crack. More replacement parts later, but we gave up, and I got an RC-10 Championship Edition, which I just bought a new Neon Green Chassis to start restoring it.

I remember the FX-10. It was a Tamiya Striker with Futaba stickers. It had a Tamiya Falcon gearbox with a Hornet front end. Talk about the Frankenstein of R/C cars!

I remeber it. My first car was a Striker. The Striker was a great car. I had alot of fun with it. I recently acquired another off of E Bay, and I alomst have enough parts to build another one, which is my goal. I have several extra FX 10 bits, including a extra chassis if anyone want to buy them. Oh, BTW, The Striker had a slightly different Chassis from the FX10, the rear mounting blocks for the suspension arms were bigger on the striker, probably why it came about like you said. My Striker never did that.

Mine went to heck to. I wasn't saying it was a great car, just chuckling at its existence. I remember my front bumper split, the front shock tower nearly shattered, all sorts of fun stuff. Whole lotta difference between that car and my current TC3!!
