Heres another newb question

and i wasnt getting the answers i was looking for..

are the HINGE PINS (circled in red in the picture) the things that let the suspension arm move up and down? if not, please tell me what they are

Basically, hingepins can reside along any pivoting axis of the car/truck. Upper and lower uprights, A-arms to the chassis/bulkhead, etc. :)
