So, i won an auction for an r/c loader. $9.95, SCORE! Well, after forever thru the mail, it gets it here, the box is a bit rough, but thats fine. Its going to be a gift for my father, who retired from the excavating business. I look a bit closer, and its 40 mhz.  didnt think that was even offered here! i know its a legal band in the U.K.,...but i didnt think so over here. Any input???
Ron
( oh, it came from California, so maybe they got a surplus)

That is pretty slick. I have a Lego Technic front-end loader and a back-hoe, and a crane truck, and I have always thought it would be fantastic if there were rc equivalents. Turns out there are! Check out the Tamiya tractor truck forum and go back a few pages and there is one guy from Europe that posted a couple links to an RC HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR!!!! Too bad I cannot read German (or whichever language it is), and too bad they are so expensive!

yeah, my dad retired with awards for his skills as a dozer operator, and i really wanted to find one, but nothing true r/c came up. I had the pleasure of watching him in action many times, to watch him spread 1 inch of clay for the top of a tennis court was nothing short of amazing..he should have a hoot with this. I can see it now, he will knock over all of mom's flower pots, then offer to "clean " it up. ( video showed them scooping gravel:D)

Is it possible to swap out the existing motor with a 45 turn or a 55 turn lathe motor? It might improve driveability. That is very realistic though, and it appears to work well. :)

Hobby Town by me has those and Dump Trucks for $40 plus tax. I have always wanted to get one but it would just sit in the box (like so many others) until my son is old enough... that's the excuse I use for every purchase and she's starting to catch on that I accidently open most of his future toys. Oops.

:D :teacher: As the dedicated, responsible fathers we are, it's our duty to inspect our sons future toys to insure satisfaction. ( don't tell her I said it though LMAO)
