Anyone have some suggestions for modifying my bald Evader ST tires to run on the ICY roads of Winnipeg? I was thinking thumb tacks but the spikes are so small, doesn't even look like its even worth it....

Glue match sticks(without the match part, 99 cents for a few hundred at dollar/craft stores) across them with rubberized CA glue, you'll be shooting up rooster tails of snow in no time, as for ice, your bast bet would probably be to wipe the rubberized CA all over the tire the roll it over or sprinkle on coarse sand (like 50 grit sandpaper).
Ive tried both and i prefer the matchsticks but neither put out a huge amount of traction because, well, ice isnt meant to drive on ashphalt is.
