I have a few questions to ask.I own a clod,I was reading alot of infomation about rear steering systems for vehicles from rc4wd.com.And most of them are made for rock climers. So what do you all think, could you use it for building s race truck??

If the clod uses the rear steering it will most likely going to do cartwheels if you want decent speed outta a clod

It depends on what you are planning to do (surprise, surprise!). If you are building a competition race Clod, then you will probably not want rear steering unless it is very accurately set up and rear steering is not major. This is because it can make the truck twitchy, but if it is properly prepared it can be a benefit.
Rock crawling, as far as I know, some classes allow it and some do not. It can help you get out of tight situations, which is beneficial.
As a basher, it might be nice to be able to turn off rear steering because there will be times when you want it, and others (speed runs) when you do not.

Well for starters,I would like to get into competition with is clod of mine. And I could not stand it when it was in stock.Because I am doing an 100% refit of new parts and high performace parts.I also read about the locking system on rc4wd.com

heres a quick thought...take a 3 channel radio, such as the traxxas TQ3, mod the 3rd channel to a toggle swtich that self-centers. add a rear servo, for dedicated rear steer, and you have the best of both worlds...and, it will give you the option of crab steering. MY clod is getting this mod VERY soon.

If you cut your steering knuckles, and put in CVD's
and a fast- like a 94358 or better servo,
u will never need a 4 wheel steer set-up on a clod- and keep in on all fours in race trim.
