Hey, guys. I just moved here to Rockport from Minnesota and Im looking for a track. All R/C Hobbies here in Rockport (next to Shop The World) said they are planning on building an on road and off road track at the beginning of the year, but I was wondering where the closest place to run would be before then. Also, I heard that some races get together at the old H.E.B. parking lot and race sometimes? I'd love to find out about that. Thanks, Guys.

Unfortunately, nitro vehicles will not be allowed for the time being. The reason for this is due to the extra maintainence costs that larger, and more powerful cars would incur.

The oval track is being built to gauge interest in a more involved track(s) in the future. If attendance, races, and LHS support goes well they plan to build in to a larger full dirt track, and past that they have a few things in mind.

The existing shop has a good support for common RC Vehicles.The owner is more of a plane enthusiast, though several employees are car enthusiasts and they are the ones planning the track.
