Hello.
I used to race 2wd electric from about 1991-1994 in Oswego, McHenry, Boligbrook, etc. I just went to the Nitro Nationals (RcPro) in Rockford. I bumped into Ken Sciabaras there, but I really did not know anybody else. I also met Bernie of LHH.
Things are a bit different after 12 years (more vehicle classes, more nitro, more programmable electronics, needing a pit-man, etc.). In 1994 Isold all my RC stuff, anticipating how fast it might go obsolete if I kept it. I was probably half-right. Anyway, how would one step back into racing around here. I live in Marengo, and I don't know what tracks are still operational. I gather that 1/8th nitro buggy is a way to go if you want to be in races. So, from the point of view of racing, who is doing what, where? I plan to stop by the Illinois nitro race at the beginning of December to collect more info. I can also be written at rdw@t6wireless.com.
Best,
Bob Woodhouse
